On 8-9 January 2026, Westminster International University in Tashkent is hosting AELLCA: Effective Strategies for Promoting Inclusion, a two-day workshop delivered under the British Council AELLCA partnership with Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU) and Lancaster University. The event brings together teacher educators, academic staff, and PRESETT professionals from across Uzbekistan, with participants joining both in person and online.
The workshop explores the Inclusive Teacher Guidebook and focuses on its practical application in real classroom contexts, including inclusive pedagogy, assessment practices, and classroom design. Special attention is given to Universal Design for Learning (UDL), highlighting adaptable teaching and assessment approaches that support diverse learning needs.
Serving as a platform for professional dialogue and collaboration, the workshop contributes to strengthening inclusive education practices and supporting ongoing educational reform in Uzbekistan.
