8.2.2 Employment practice unions
Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT), officially recognizes the Trade Union, with a comprehensive Collective Agreement that safeguards employee rights and enhances working conditions.
1.1. This Collective Agreement is an internal normative document regulating individual labor relations and directly related social relations. It is concluded between the Trade union collective, being a representative of the Trade Union Committee, and Westminster International University in Tashkent (hereinafter referred to as the Employer).
1.2. The Agreement is developed on the basis of the Constitution and Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the laws 'On Employment of the Population,' 'On Labor Protection,' 'On Education,' 'On Trade Unions,' the General Agreement on socio-economic issues between the Cabinet of Ministers, the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, and the Confederation of Employers of Uzbekistan, the industry agreement between the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Educational and Scientific Workers of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as other regulatory legal acts that guarantee the minimum level of socio-economic rights and benefits for all employees.
