WIUT Commercial Law Students Excel at the Oxford International Intellectual Property Law Moot

Westminster International University in Tashkent is proud to highlight the outstanding participation of the Commercial Law students in the Oxford International Intellectual Property Law Moot, one of the world’s most prestigious competitions in IP law, held from 24 to 28 March at the University of Oxford.

Competing among just 32 selected teams from leading law schools worldwide, WIUT made history as the first team from Uzbekistan and Central Asia to reach this stage of the competition.

The team, consisting of Madinabonu Jumaniyozova, Ulugmurod Dustmurodov and Khushruya Abdullaeva, coached by Mamurakhon Turgunboeva, demonstrated exceptional advocacy, analytical ability and professionalism throughout the moot. In recognition of their outstanding performance, they were awarded the Professor David Vaver Spirit of the Moot Award, which recognises excellence in teamwork, integrity and commitment.

The team expresses its sincere appreciation to the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Lexcell Law Firm for their sponsorship and support in making this achievement possible.
